Modular Version - PHYTO-PAM-II

The MODULAR Version of PHYTO-PAM-II offers more application flexibility than the COMPACT Version. Due to its modular design, the setup can be modified to customize experimental conditions, such as the choice of specific detector filters. 

In the MODULAR Version the multi-color-emitter and photomultiplier-detector units are separated from the control unit. They are mounted on an optical unit ED-101US/MP, in which a 10 x 10 x 45 mm cuvette is placed. The optical unit constitutes an open optical system, providing two additional optical ports for connection of alternative light sources or detectors. Furthermore, it also allows the user to connect a miniature magnetic stirrer to the bottom of the cuvette and to insert a Peltier temperature control “finger” at the top. The optical geometry enables slightly more sensitivity than with the other versions.

Due to the modular setup, this version is mainly designed for laboratory applications, but as the Power-and-Control-Unit PHYTO-II-C is equipped with a battery, the MODULAR Version PHYTO-PAM-II system may also be used in on-deck and field applications.
